Giro Apeckx Shoes
The proprietary Evofibre microfibre is used on the upper of the shoe making it breathable with a leatheresque finish. The surface is easy to clean and maintain. A quick wipe down with some mild detergent and warm water quickly restored their bright white glory. A velcro strip on the underside of the sole makes changing the supports a breeze making it an effective system.
The MR-1 buckle allows a more refined level of adjustment over the MR-2 by effectively pulling the main strap by 2mm as apposed to 3mm. This helps to fine tune the fit so your foot feels comfortably snug rather than too loose or unbearably tight. The slimline clasp is also pretty easy to slide under an overshoe.
TIMELESS STYLE WITH, ELEVATED PERFORMANCE
The Apeckx™ combines a supple bonded and welded mesh upper with an impressively stiff DuPont™Zytel® sole. The welded and bonded upper results in fewer seams for reduced hot spots and improved comfort. Fit is adjustable via the classic combination of a micro-ratcheting, low-profile N-1 buckle and two straps. A supportive, anti-microbial EVA footbed optimizes comfort while reducing odor. Plus, the Apeckx is built on the same last as our highest-performance shoes, so you get the same amazing fit that has made Giro the fastest-growing brand of cycling shoes.

Giro Empire VR90
Laces used to pose many problems for cyclists, including untying, stretching, breaking or simply getting caught in chain rings. The top eyelets would tend to stretch, causing laces to stretch and remain long. Things get worse after a ride in the rain, as the shoes would grow a size or two.
Giro designers' have intelligently solved each one of these issues. A metal ring reinforces the top two eyelets, the new anti-stretch laces are thick and enduring and do not grow old like cotton ones. To prevent the laces clogging your drivetrain, Giro has incorporated the ‘Lace Garage’ – a small elastic loop on the tongue to tuck the laces under. Finally, the one piece ‘Premium Evofibre’ upper keeps its shape, even in the wettest conditions.
OFF-ROAD PERFORMANCE, REDEFINED
The Empire™VR90 is one of the lightest options available on dirt and sets the standard in high-performance off-road shoes. Highlights include a lightweight laced one-piece upper for unrivaled comfort, an Easton® EC90™full carbon outsole and molded Vibram® rubber tread for relentless grip. The upper is made of our breathable Evofiber™synthetic upper by Teijin® for superb fit and support that won’t stretch out with wear or weather. Our adjustable SuperNatural Fit footbed lets you fine-tune the fit and arch support, for maximum pedaling efficiency.

Giro Factor ACC Shoes
Giro made quite a mark in the cycling shoe market over the past handful of years and the updated Factor ACC is a lighter incarnation of an already very good high performance shoe, making it perfect for racers and serious sports fanatics. To sum it up, it is almost "like wearing your favourite slippers with cleats on".
The main changes to the new Factor ACCs are to be found in the sole. The Easton EC90 carbon fibre sole has been stiffened up and its weight has been reduced.
Setting up cleats on the sole is relatively easy with a load of markers to help you perfectly line up the cleats, and easily replicate the position on the other shoe. It's a three-bolt hole layout, compatible with most common cleat systems.
The Factor ACC shoes come supplied with Giro's SuperNatural Fit Kit, which provides a number of arch support inserts which is vitally important to reduce sore feet or hotspots.
The latest Giro Factor ACC shoes are high performance shoes with an extremely stiff sole ideal for racing and demanding cyclists, with easily adjustable insoles and a light weight. Impressively stiff and light race shoes with adjustable sole inserts.

The changes aren't radical, but small tweaks to a shoe that in 2012 road.cc summed up as "like wearing your favourite slippers with cleats on".

Giro Terraduro Shoes
Giro’s Terraduro is aimed at the growing enduro race market, but you don’t have to have run a number plate on your trail bike to appreciate a shoe that balances on-the-bike performance with just enough flex to make it comfortable for the inevitable hike-a-bike sections that come with big mountain riding.
Two Velcro straps and a replaceable ratcheting buckle provide adjustments, while scuff-resistant panels on the toebox and sides have withstood numerous encounters with stubborn rocks that refused to yield the trail. The padded tongue is thick and comfortable, however it takes a long time to dry out, should you dunk your feet during creek crossings.
The Terraduro uses a nylon shank that’s stiff through the midsole and has a built in flex zone in the forefoot that makes it significantly easier to walk in than carbon-soled shoes.
The Vibram Mont rubber lugs are a welcome change from the hard plastic tread still found on too many clipless mountain bike shoes. This Vibram rubber provides ample traction when dabbing or scrambling up rocks and even holds its own on slimy roots.
POWERFUL PEDALING WITH CONFIDENT HIKING
The Terraduro™was created to navigate the demands of all-mountain riding and enduro where performance is needed on and off the bike. This shoe is built around a stout nylon shank that pedals like a pure XC shoe, combined with a grippy Vibram® rubber outsole that inspires confidence when scrambling over rocks and logs. The fit is secure and supportive thanks to a slim, micro-adjustable buckle and two-strap closure system, while a reinforced toe box offers protection from scrapes and impacts.

Giro Prolight SLX II Shoes
In a market crowded with various buckles, ratchets, BOA dials and other types of closures, a three-strap velcro shoe looks a little primitive. But foregoing those buckles sheds weighs, and we found the fit adjustment to be perfectly adequate. In fact, being able to pivot the top strap a bit on the D ring allows for a level of fine tuning that's not possible on a fixed-position ratchet buckle.
The Giro design is philosophically different from the likes of the S-Works and the Zero+ in that the outsole is relatively flat, instead of curving up as part of the arch support. Giro's theory is to leave the shoe neutral and let riders either run it as is, modify the fit with the SuperNatural insole options or use third-party insoles that might not fit in a more-shaped sole. In any event, we found the shoe comfortable, and appreciated being able to play with multiple arch supports without having to pay anything extra.
The Prolight SLX road shoe leverages the carbon fibre expertise of Giro's sister brand, Easton. True to its name, the Prolight is one of the lighter high-end road kicks on the market. A flat Easton carbon outsole offers a neutral fit and the three offset velcro straps can dial it in, pivoting as necessary on titanium D rings.
