The 901 shell and cuff are moulded in PP — a tougher, more forgiving plastic than the TPU used on the 909, and the reason the 901 lands at the price it does. Oversized soul plates bolt straight to the shell, and the whole boot is built around THEM's roomy last, which is why riders coming off narrow aggressive skates almost always find it a relief.

This is THEM's 901 80S recreation — the same 901 boot, but on an 80mm frame instead of a street setup. It rolls and carries speed like an urban skate while keeping a grindable soulframe underneath, so it suits anyone who wants one pair for getting across town and messing about at the park.
