📏Vireo Size Chart
The Flying Eagle Vireo is a size-adjustable kids skate that grows with the skater — it comes in two moulds (S & M), each spanning five full sizes. Measure your child’s foot length in cm (Mondo) and match it to the bracket below, then read the adjustable-system section for how to set the exact size.
How to measure: Place your foot flat against a wall on a sheet of A4 paper. Draw a line at the tip of your longest toe and measure the distance from the line to the edge of the paper — that cm value (Mondo) is your size.
| Size | Mondo (cm) | EU | US | UK |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 18.5 – 21.5 | 30 – 34 | 12.5 – 2.5 | 12 – 2 |
| M | 22 – 25 | 35 – 39 | 3 – 7 | 2.5 – 6 |
Width Guide
Flying Eagle Vireo skates are a Medium width.
Model Cut
Size-adjustable kids skate — each mould spans five full sizes via the toecap system. Match your child’s foot length to the S or M bracket above.
Fitting for COMFORT
Upsize to make full use of all sizes. e.g. if your child is EU33, buy the M (EU35–39) mould, not the S (EU30–34).
Fitting for PERFORMANCE
Upsize to make full use of all sizes and add a thick insole to fill the space.
Mould S
EU 30–34 on 4×59 mm wheels.
Mould M
EU 35–39 on 4×60 mm wheels.
3-in-1 insoles + heel insert
The toecap sets the full size; the 3-in-1 insoles and heel insert allow further fine-tuning of internal volume and foot position.
✓ How it should feel
A snug fit with toes touching the end and feeling tight when new. As long as the toes are not curling up, the boot expands and widens over time.
✗ How it should NOT feel
Toes curling up, the foot sliding around, or the heel lifting once buckled.
Size-Adjustable System
The Flying Eagle Vireo is a size-adjustable kids skate designed to grow with the skater. It features three independent adjustment systems that customise skate length, internal volume, and foot position — ensuring a correct, comfortable fit at every stage of growth.
The size-adjustable toecap offers fixed positions covering five full sizes, making the Vireo a durable, practical choice for growing kids. An expandable toe section in the liner adapts smoothly to each setting, maintaining comfort and support. Full sizes are set by the toecap, but combined with the 3-in-1 insoles and the heel insert, further adjustments can be made.
Toecap Positions
Each mould steps through five fixed toecap positions:
| Toecap Position | Mould S | Mould M |
|---|---|---|
| Position 1 | EU 30 | EU 35 |
| Position 2 | EU 31 | EU 36 |
| Position 3 | EU 32 | EU 37 |
| Position 4 | EU 33 | EU 38 |
| Position 5 | EU 34 | EU 39 |
How to Adjust the Toecap
- Unscrew the soulframe screw located between wheels 1 and 2 using the Torx tool included in the box. For size S, the second wheel must be removed to access the screw.
- Press the heel button and pull or push the toecap to the desired size until a click sound confirms engagement.
- Gently shake the toecap side to side and front to back to make sure it is fully locked and secure.
- Check that the aluminium plate inside the toecap is seated straight in its recess — hold it by hand if needed while tightening the screw. For size S, reinstall the second wheel afterwards.
⚠ Important Safety Notice
The metal plate increases stability and protects against impacts and vibration. Always ensure it is correctly aligned and firmly secured — a misaligned plate or loose screw may allow the skate to change size during a strong impact or fall.
Before every skating session, verify that all screws and axles are tight and secure, with no broken, loose, or moving parts. Be sure both skates are locked in the same toecap position and size.
